Though entirely in Swedish, this is a must-have reference for all Swedish specialists. $25.25 Handbook of the Varieties on Oscar II Copper Plate Issue (Seso & Norberg, 1994; Varianthandboken Oscar II Koppartryck) The definitive handbook of the plate varieties on the Oscar II issue (Scott #56-65). In Swedish, but very easy to use as there are several enlarged illustrations on almost every one of the 352 pages. $52.50 Swedish Large-Format Official Stamps 1874-1910 - Handbook A:2 (Gustafsson, 1991; Tjanstefrimarken i Stort Format 1874-1910) Extremely useful with many photos, illustrations of varieties, postal history usages, etc. A must for the serious collector of Sweden. $48.50 Swedish Vending Machine Booklet Handbook (Fagerstrom & Ahman, 1998; Atlas Handbok over Svenska Automathaften) The long-awaited handbook for the slot-machine booklets. Entirely in Swedish, but a master-work of research. Around 200 pages, in ring binder, 100s of illustrations; gold mine of information. Absolute must-have reference. $84.00 Postal Rates 50 Years of Swedish Postal History and Rates 1885-1935 (Laursen & Stavenow, 1977; 50 Ars Svensk Postal Dokumentation) An extremely useful book covering 1885-1935 postal rates and usages, though in Swedish. Tables show rates by type of rate and also lists each stamp issue and gives intended usage and dates of normal use (many short periods!). $21.50 King Gustav V in Round Frame and Swedish Postal History & Rates 1910-1920 (Amundsen, 1981; Kong Gustav V in Medaljong og sveriges Portotakster 1910- 1920) Very useful handbook of postal history and rates during this time period with many good rate charts. In Swedish, but presents a perspective of use seen nowhere else. Recommended. $26.50 Airmail Postage Rates 1920-1992 (Svahn, 1993; Flygporton 1920-1992) Extremely valuable and useful compilation of airmail postage rate charts to all destinations. This is the first and most complete resource of its kind for Sweden. In Swedish, but quite easy to use. $28.50 Postal History Swedish Postal History 1855-1925 Handbook D:2 (Billgren & Andersson, 1996; Svensk Posthistoria 1855- 1925 Handbok D:2) Long-awaited postal history handbook, in Swedish. Organized by postal service including all special services and types of mail, with usages and statistics. Has a photo on virtually every page. Includes postal rates. $74.90 Swedish Postage Dues (Haij, 1973; Svensk Losen) Handy monograph covering just about all aspects of Swedish postage due postal history, postal markings, handstamps, labels, but not of the regular postage due stamps. In Swedish, but extremely useful, well illustrated, and informative. $16.00 Swedish Postal Censorship During WWII (Wagerman, 1990; Svensak Postcensur Under Andra Varldskriget) Extensive handbook of this little known subject, with cataloging of the cancels and censor marks with RARITY FACTORS. In Swedish; but still very useful. Has excellent bibliography, index, and illustrations. $42.00 Swedish Pre-Philatelic Covers (Nilebrant, 1974; Svenska Brev Forfilateli Fran 1600 talet till 1855) Swedish covers from the 1600s to 1855 with discussions of postal history, early tariffs, services, postal markings, etc. In Swedish, but very useful for the specialist. $14.00 Norwegian & Swedish UN Military Mail (Arb. Krigs-og Feltpost... Norge, 1997; FN-Feltpost) Collection of article reprints, in Swedish, covering Norwegian and Swedish UN Forces activities from 1947-1997. Many illustrations; full of hard-to-obtain information. $33.00 Cancellations Cancellation and Postmark Type Handbook 1996 (Eliasson, 1996; Stampel Fakta - poststampeln genom fyra sekler) The first cancellation type handbook since 1952. An extraordinary book defining and picturing all cancel & postmark types used in Sweden. Not a catalog, but the definition of the types. In Swedish, but thousands of illus on 524 pages. $84.50 Facit Swedish Postal History/Cancel Catalog 1997 (Facit, 1997; Facit Postal VI Ortstamplar & Posthistoria) Significantly improved, updated, and expanded. The primary priced catlog for postmarks, including town, railway, ship, foreign, etc. Also postal rates, pre-stamp cancels, military postal labels, and much more. With English text. $58.50 Sweden Cancellation Handbook 1952 (SFF, 1952; Handbook over Svenska Post- och Makuleringsstamplar 1685-1951) This famous "cancellation handbook" is still very useful and informative. Though many parts have been replaced by various books, this classic is still sought after. An ORIGINAL hardbound example. $75.00 Pre-Philatelic Cancellations Volume I: "Arc" Type (Stenberg, 1973; Tidiga Svensak Datumstamplar, Del I, Bagstamplar) The handbook for "arc" pre-stamp cancels, wherein the year date follows the arc of the cancel's ring. In Swedish, but every cancel illustrated, with dates of use and rarity factors. $25.00 Catalog of PKXP Railway Cancellations 1-114 (Oscariarnerna, 1992; PKXP Stamplar 1-114 Katalog) An extremely useful book listing ALL the PKXP cancellations throught #114, including all the different A,B,UPP,NED, different types, etc. WITH RARITY FACTORS IN EACH DIFFERENT stamp period, and dates & places of use. A must-have book. $33.00 Swedish Railway Lines with Numeral Cancellations 1868-1968: PKXP, PLK, PKP (Sjogren, 1990; Svenska Jarnvagsstrackor med Nummerstamplar - PKXP PLK PKP - 1868-1968) Exhaustive listing of railway lines BY TOWN, giving the numbers of the cancellations used on each line. The only publication providing this information in this town-sorted format. All in COLOR, English text for normal stamp issues (otherwise Swedish), easy to use. $24.50 Revenues Swedish Charta Sigillata (Revenue Stamped Paper) (Joos, 1997; Svenska Charta Sigillata) Catalog of 1660- 1880 stamped revenue paper and early revenue stamps. Includes ENGLISH TEXT, relative rarity pricing, and many illustrations. Very useful and "first on the subject". $22.00 Sweden Revenue Stamps Catalog (Facit 1999 Scandinavia Specialized Catalog) (Facit Special 1998- 99) Finally, a modern (post-1915!) catalog of Swedish Revenue Stamps, including the municipal revenues. A "special article" in the annual Facit Catalog; not likely to be repeated again. IN ENGLISH, W/PRICING. Updated and improved since the 1998 edition, used. $38.50 Swedish Perfins (Bergman, Lagerwall, Swenson, 1981; Svenska Skyddsperforeringar) The primary catalog for this field.
